What It’s Like to Work at Art Escape
Welcome to the place where creativity and community meet.
At Art Escape, no two days look the same. One minute you’re helping a family paint the world’s wonkiest Christmas gnome, the next you’re cheering on a kid making their first clay sculpture masterpiece, and then you’re restocking glaze while trying not to laugh at whatever chaos is happening in the splatter room.
We’re a small team with big heart. We work hard, support each other, and take real pride in giving guests a place to unwind, celebrate, and make something they love. When you join Art Escape, you’re not just clocking in, you’re becoming part of a creative, welcoming, community focused studio.
If that sounds like your kind of place, keep reading. You might just belong here.
Who Thrives On Our Team
We are not looking for perfect artists. We are looking for kind, reliable people who care about guests and do not mind rolling up their sleeves.
You will love working here if…
- You genuinely like people and enjoy talking with guests of all ages.
- You show up on time and teammates can count on you.
- A busy studio, kids laughing, and birthday chaos feel fun, not stressful.
- You do not mind cleaning, wiping tables, mopping, and restocking between guests.
- You can follow steps and give clear, patient instructions.
- You are comfortable working evenings and weekends when we are busiest.
- You like learning new things like clay, ceramics, and glass projects over time.
This job is probably not for you if…
- You really dislike cleaning or think it is “not your job.”
- You prefer a quiet workspace with very little interaction.
- You need the exact same schedule every week with no flexibility.
- You get easily frustrated by kids, noise, or people asking questions.
- You expect to be on your phone during your shift.
- Working most weekends or school vacation weeks is a deal breaker.
What Your Shifts Are Really Like
This isn’t a sit-behind-the-counter kind of job. Our team stays busy, supports each other, and keeps the studio running smoothly so guests can relax and create.
- Greeting guests and helping them choose a project.
- Explaining how ceramic painting, canvas panting, splatter painting, or clay projects work.
- Ringing up customers, answering questions, and keeping the vibe friendly and fun.
- Cleaning tables, restocking brushes/paints/glazes, and keeping the studio sparkling.
- Helping with birthday parties, classes, and walk-in rushes.
- Wrapping up finished projects and glazing ceramics. (Training Provided)
- Jumping in wherever needed. We’re a small team, so we support each other.
