Let the Paint Fly in the Splatter Paint Room

If the kids have been cooped up a little too long, our Splatter Paint Room is the colorful reset button.

We suit you up in protective gear, hand you the paint, and let you use squirt bottles and bazooka guns to fling, spray, squirt, and splatter your way to a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

You can choose to paint a 9″×12″ or 16″×20″ canvas, or create a custom splatter shirt you can actually wear home as a souvenir. Our splatter shirts are branded with Art Escape Laconia, NH, making them a fun vacation keepsake you get to design yourself.

Walk-ins are welcome!

We can teach you how to create gorgeous, effortless textures using stamps, vibrant yarn painting, or even bubble-blowing painting. It makes creating something you’re proud of much easier, even if your usual drawing style is “mystery potato.”

⭐ Good News for Vacationers: Rush “Fast-Fire” Kiln Upgrades Are Available!

One of the biggest questions we hear in the summer is: “Will my pottery be ready before we go home?”

While normal kiln-fired projects are typically ready for pickup on Thursday of the following week, we have amazing options for travelers!

If your piece is the size of a dinner plate or smaller and finished by 4:00 PM, we can load it into our kilns that very night! Best of all, one flat upgrade fee covers your entire group’s projects (not per piece):

  • 3-Day Turnaround: $25
  • 2-Day Turnaround: $35
  • Next-Day Pickup: $45

(Please note: Because pieces finished after 4:00 PM fire the next day, and we are closed on Tuesdays, next-day turnaround is not available for pieces completed on Mondays.)

Are you leaving for home today, checking out of your rental tomorrow morning, or just in a major rush? Just let our team know! Most projects (except dinnerware) can be decorated with bright acrylic paints instead of glaze, meaning you can safely take them home with you the exact same day!

Do I need a reservation?

No! Walk-ins are always welcome for pottery painting, canvas painting, and our core studio activities. However, our specialized evening classes and the Splatter Paint Room fill up quickly, so we highly recommend booking those specific experiences in advance to secure your spot.

How long does pottery painting take?

Most guests spend between one and two hours selecting their colors and creating their masterpieces. There is never any rush, so you are always welcome to take your time and stay longer!

Can I take my pottery home before my vacation ends?

Yes! We offer a specialized “Fast-Fire” kiln upgrade for a flat group rate starting at $25 depending on your timeline. If you complete your ceramic piece by 4:00 PM, it can be ready in 1 to 3 days (excluding Tuesdays). We also feature same-day take-home options using acrylic paints if you are leaving for home today or tomorrow morning.

Is Art Escape good for adults too?

Absolutely. While we are highly family-friendly, our air-conditioned studio is a popular choice for unique date nights, couple’s activities, adult friend groups, and solo artists looking for a relaxing, creative escape from the summer heat.
